2 years already!

We just had our 2 year anniversary and had a great time celebrating! Ben surprised me with tickets to a Jazz game, which I LOVED. :)

We went to one on our honeymoon and it was nostalgic to go back. We stayed a couple night in the Sheraton, and to our surprise they allow dogs! (under 40 lbs.) We got to bring Nana and it was really fun to have her there.
Nana and Ben naps :)
Saturday was very relaxing. We woke up and had breakfast and decided to walk over to the new City Creek Mall. It was incredible! Not only was it a beautiful day with the sun shining, the mall was really fun to walk around in. :) Our favorite stop was Bose. We stood in front of a live concert of Chicago and sang along to the awesome sound coming out of really expensive speakers!

On our walk back, we held hands, talked in really stupid voices to each other, and made each other laugh.

It was then that I realized that I have never been happier in my entire life.

There have been many moments like this in my marriage. Which tells me that it'll just keep getting better and better. It's hard to imagine being any more happy than I am right now. Ben is the most amazing husband and friend. He comforts me more than anything, he makes me laugh, cares about me, does EVERYTHING for me, puts up with my stupid quirks, the list goes on and on. I honestly never have to doubt that I always have, and always will be his first priority and he treats me like a queen. I don't care where we live, what our situation is, how much we have, as long as I have him, my life is the best it could be.

We had an INCREDIBLE anniversary, have had an even better 2 years together, and looking forward to infinity more!  :)

MA and PA

Our ward is fortunate enough to get to go on Trek this summer. The kids are also fortunate enough to have Ben and me as a Ma and Pa! :)

We are super excited for this adventure and have already started getting to know our children. We were in charge of an activity the other night and decided to have a little friendly competition. We got a bunch of duct tape and cardboard and told them to make the fastest, most durable handcart out of their materials.

The kids were very creative and we had a lot of fun with them! We can't wait to get to know each of our little children and go on the trek!

We are really grateful for this experience, and are really excited to try our hand at parenting. ;)

Spring Break!

Spring Break was amazing this year! Not only did we get some time off school and homework, but we got to spend some great time with family in the sun. My dad decided to take us on a little trip to St George for a couple days... but a little trip for my dad is JAM PACKED with fun things to do. We hardly had a moment of real relaxation because he had planned so many fun stuff for us.

BATTING CAGES

You name it, we did it! That's the way Pop likes to plan our trips!

Not to mention my sis Kim got engaged to her sweetheart Brian. We were all very excited for this news and are happy that they get to start their life together soon!

His and Hers

Lately we have been busy with lots of school, work and all the fun of everything in between! We still get to spend time together because Ben can work from home. So even if it is spent working or doing homework, we can still sit by each other on the couch and talk while we work.

HIS

Ben has been zeroing in on his senior project lately. I thought I knew how amazing he was, but he surprises me over and over again! For his project he is creating a remote-control lawnmower from the iphone. (reminds me of the kid from Honey I Shrunk the Kids!) He has created all the circuit boards, iphone app, and will start working on the hardware that goes into making this happen. The other day he bought a JAZZY to take apart for the motors and the wheels for the lawnmower.

We had a ball chasing Nana around the room in this baby!

I was sad when he had to take it apart....but I suppose a remote control lawn mower will still be pretty cool!

HERS

The only time I have really sewn anything were little projects in school, a big levi quilt with my grandma when I was younger, and one for Ben's birthday when we were dating. Lately I've been wanting to change things up in our downstairs living room and started looking into couches. One thing lead to another and I decided to try my own reupholstering project!

We found a cute couch and love seat for 50 bucks on KSL, bought the fabric, borrowed a sewing machine, and went to work!

It really is turning out a lot better than either of us imagined! I love the gray fabric and white piping. It seems so fresh and crisp!

The cushions turned out to be the most difficult. If I can get through these cushions, I can do anything!

I imagine with school and everything to do, I will hopefully be done within the month. I'll update when they are finished and in use!
